My Sites

Since 2018, I’ve honed my SEO skills by growing a handful of different sites. Here are a few of them.

I turned my boardwalk impulse buy into a thriving website. This site is my attempt at an informational site and Ecommerce hybrid, serving as an online store for hermit crab owners and their pet supplies.

This is my first site I’ve grown from a hobby sharing my experience crabbing to the largest website on the topic. I’ve had millions of visitors and several buyout offers for Crabbinghub.

I turned my part time job of splitting firewood into a online guide on the subject. This site has a goal of combining video and search engine marketing to grow an audience in the firewood niche,

A few friends and I started a coffee review brand that is now a popular locally known group! We promote our posts via SEO and Instagram marketing. I manage the website and its Print on Demand store via Woocommerce and Printify.

I turned my childhood hobby into a niche website that now sits as a back burner project. It gets bits of organic Google traffic via my handful of articles on the site. I have plans to expand the content to turn it into a staple in the Lego collecting niche.

about me

Welcome to my portfolio site! I’ve been creating websites since 2016, where I coded a site about sailing entirely in HTML.

Now, every month, I reach thousands of readers with my websites, earn commissions on tens of thousands of dollars worth of sales, and do it all while pursing my bachelor’s.

SEO

As an SEO, I use my skills to build and consult various online brands and their search engine appearances.

Student

Pursing a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting & Financial Planning & Wealth Management at the University of Delaware

Blogger

Grown several sites to reach millions of readers.

I was born and raised between Delaware and Maryland. My work ethic comes from working at my dad’s construction company since I was old enough to pick up a rake. That, mixed with a dream of being wealthy, lead me down the entrepreneurial rabbit hole. From owning vending machines to websites, I’ve got a few start ups under my belt. I have and always will be interest in starting and scaling businesses.

Besides that, I like to hike, ski, sail, play baseball, or anything outdoors. I help run Coffee Tuesdays, a coffee influencer page that is known among local coffee shops. I’m constantly listening to music, podcasts, or an audiobook.

Skillsets

Managing sites as a sole proprietor makes you a jack of all trades for internet marketing! I’ve taken several courses, watched thousands of hours of youtube and podcast content, and read several books to get my foundation. From there, I’ve used what I learned to build my portfolio of hobby sites, which is where you really learn SEO. Here are a few of my many skills that fueled my success.

Keyword Research

I prefer to call this search intent research. Keyword research is an outdated SEO term due to semantic search. In layman terms, I’m amazing at finding topics that I could rank for on search engines.

Email Marketing

I am a self-taught email marketer. From convincing readers to join my email list and keeping them engaged, I’m slowly growing each site’s email subscribers to the thousands.

Blog Writing

Writing for the web is a balancing act between engaging, personalized content and optimizing for search engines. There’s a lot to know about formatting, infographics, and writing styles.

Planning & Managing Content

I don’t write just anything on my websites. I’ve poured hundreds of hours into educating myself on how to write content that’s both educational and perfect for search engines.

Interlinking & Topical Authority

In recent years, Google has doubled down on EEAT. The way I stand out as an authority to Google is through my strategized keyword research. I exhaust big topics in my niches and interlink each article.

Site Design

I design all of my websites via WordPress. User experience is everything on the web! Google tracks on-page time spent on your site, how many pages people visit, and so on. Learning how to optimize for usability of my sites was key to my success.

Site Analytics

Though Google SC, Trends, and Analytics, I analyze site traffic by page and topic. This helps me decide on how to improve and plan future site content.

Video Marketing

Through short and long form content, I’m growing my skills in promoting content on Youtube. I’m using an analytical approach to strategically plan content from my years as an SEO.

Affiliate Marketing

A majority of my income from my websites are through affiliate marketing. I’ve optimized my sites to funnel cold traffic into warm traffic to convert more sales.

Spreadsheets

I would be lost without my Excel and Google Sheets skills. From managing content to finances, my knowledge of spreadsheets has taken me a long way.

Off-Page SEO

Site speed, backlinks, and EEAT are just a few subjects I’ve poured hours into learning to rank on search engines. I wish good content was all it took to rank on Google!

Managing Finances

While my sites are my side hustle, it’s still a business. I take advantage of my accounting education to invoice clients, manage books, prepare taxes, and budget for my web company.

I stand out from other SEOs because I become a part of my website topics.

The reason why my websites are so successful is because I become an expert in what my site’s about. I take real photos of me doing the topic, share real experiences in my articles, and buy the products I recommend. I bring a strong work ethic towards whatever I’m working on to out do my competition.

Software & Tools

My secret for managing all these sites are my software skills. Here are the tools I would consider myself an expert in.

WordPress

All of my websites run on WordPress. I have countless hours experience using this software, know all the settings, and am comfortable customize sites with Gutenberg and various themes.

Google Drive

My first blog post was on Google Docs, content plan was on Google Sheets, and media collection was on a shared drive. I’ve had years of experience using these tools, as well as lesser known apps like Google My Maps, Forms…

Google Analytics, SC

Google Analytics and Google Search Console are the backbone of the data my websites collects. I know how to run reports and use it to make decisions for content production.

iMovie

I’ve been editing videos on iMovie since grade school. I now use it to produce video content on a commercial scale.

Microsoft Office

I am proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, PowerBI, and various other Microsoft products, as well as their Windows and Mac versions.

Tableu

To display data for my site users, I am proficient in designing graphics in Tableu.

Canva

I design all my site’s graphics, logos, and designs myself on Canva. I am very comfortable with the software.

Instagram Business

I have run several successful instagram accounts, and I am comfortable with the professional dashboard.

Mac & Windows Computers

I am equally comfortable using Apple and Windows interface.
